Chester County to Newark in twenty-two minutes

Kennett Square is one of the prettiest small towns in southern Chester County: the mushroom-country main street, Longwood Gardens up the road, and the Brandywine Valley around it. The daycares inside Kennett fill early or skew toward older preschoolers. We have a small infant-through- pre-K program 22 minutes south on PA-41 / DE-41, at 292 W Main St, Newark, DE 19711.

From the Kennett Square borough, Hamorton, Toughkenamon, or the Avondale line, DE-41 runs straight into Newark’s downtown. The drive is mostly rural and rolling, and it’s one of the calmer commutes south. From the Longwood Gardens line or the Chadds Ford-adjacent communities, US-1 to DE-41 is the typical route. Drive times run 20 to 28 minutes.

We have five classrooms (12 weeks through pre-K) and a license cap of 80. Daily lessons come from the Brightwheel Experience Curriculum, with a nature theme each week. The kids go outside every day weather lets us. We’re open 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. PA families on Delaware payroll qualify for the UD discount under the same terms as Delaware residents.
