Office-day child care for ChristianaCare staff

Christiana Hospital is one of the largest single employers in Delaware. Outside of the 12-hour bedside nursing shifts, thousands of people on staff work something closer to a standard office day: schedulers, billing and admin, social workers, lab and pathology, therapy and rehab clinicians, residents on standard rotation, attendings with scheduled clinic blocks, researchers, and IT. This school is built for that group.

We’re open 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. That window doesn’t cover a 7 AM bedside hand-off, and we’ll tell you up front. It does fit the office-side and clinic-block roles comfortably, with room on each end of the day to handle the drive.

Our door at 292 W Main St, Newark, DE 19711 is a 7-minute drive west of the main Christiana Hospital campus on DE-273. From the Center for Heart & Vascular Health, the Cancer Center, the Health Sciences Complex on STAR, or the administrative offices, the drive lands the same way: through Stanton, into Newark, two minutes down Main.

We have five classrooms with a license cap of 80 children, and an infant room starting at 12 weeks. Lessons come from the Brightwheel Experience Curriculum, with a new nature theme each week. The kids go outside every day weather permits. Class sizes stay within Delaware OCCL ratios.
