Downes runs a Mandarin Chinese dual-language immersion track alongside its traditional K–5 program, and it’s earned recognition as a Delaware School of Excellence. Families who’ve chosen that school for one child are often looking for something just as intentional for a younger one.

We’re open 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for children 12 weeks through pre-K. Lessons come from the Brightwheel Experience Curriculum, with a new nature theme every week, and the kids get outside daily when weather allows.

Our door at 292 W Main St, Newark, DE 19711 is about a 1.5-mile drive from Downes’ front entrance on Casho Mill Road, most of it along Nottingham Road. Five classrooms, a license cap of 80 kids, and Delaware OCCL-compliant ratios throughout.
